Tuesdays 3rd and 17th              

Our church is open between 10.30 am and noon for anyone wanting to come in for a few moments’ quiet reflection, prayer or meditation. If you would like to discuss something, someone will be available. Refreshments are offered.

 

Thursdays 5th and 26th

Prayer Group

Our informal prayer group for Christians of all ages meets at 10 for a 10.30 am start at the home of Helen McNamara on 5th, and the venue will be confirmed for the 26thcall Helen on Weybridge 849787 for further details. We celebrate God’s answers to our prayers and bring Him our concerns about our families, friends, community and world. Refreshments are served and children are welcome.

 

Fridays 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th

Café Studio entertainment

Performances on the respective evenings are:

* Revue “Regarding Eve” – excellent entertainment – drama, song, dance

* John Dougherty – singer/songwriter –relaxed Celtic style

*  Stewart Henderson – poet and radio presenter- “All things weird and wonderful”

* Bryn Haworth – singer/songwriter – excellent evening particularly for all who enjoy acoustic/blues/country/slide guitar.

All performances start at 7.30 for 8pm at the Lantern Arts Centre, Raynes Park Methodist Church, Tolverne Road . Tickets cost £5 per evening—call 020 8944 5794.

 

Mondays 9th and 23rd                       

Bible Study

We will be sharing in studies that are more reflective this month, allowing us time to consider hymns and bible passages in a prayerful attitude. On the 9th we will be looking at Jesus the Man, and on 23rd we will consider Jesus our God. The format of the group is informal discussion, and all are invited to come to the church vestry at 8 pm to join us for an hour-and-a-half either one or both Mondays.

 

Tuesday 10th

Taize Meeting

Join Christians from Weybridge in this musical approach to prayer and meditation—this ecumenical group meets at Christ the Prince of Peace (off Portmore Park Road) at 8 pm for an hour-and-a-half. If you are interested in contributing musically, turn up with your instrument at 7 pm to practice the evening’s pieces.

 

Saturday 14th

Quiz evening

Come and test your knowledge at the Byfleet Methodist Church St Valentine’s Quiz night in aid of Methodist Homes for the Aged. Either get together with your friends in a team of four, or turn up at 7.30 pm and join a team on the night—tickets at £3 per person from Roger (842411) or Bob (346132).

 

Sunday 29th

Ecumenical Lent Service

All are invited to the URC on Queens Road for the first of a series of Lent services to be held in the churches of the town in preparation for Easter, starting at 6pm.

Friday March 5th

Womens World Day of Prayer

Hosted this year by the URC (on Queens Road), this opportunity to share with believers around the world takes place at 11.15 am. The speaker this year is Mrs Gail Partridge, an Anglican Lay Reader and Assistant Chaplain at the Princess Alice Hospice, and a crèche will be provided. The service will be followed by a Frugal lunch, donations from which will go to the Thames Homeless Project.

 

March 11th to 13th

Salad Days

Walton Methodist Operatic group is presenting 'Salad Days' on Thursday/Friday/Saturday the 11/12/13 March at 8.00 in the Church Hall. Please speak to Reg or Linda for tickets and further information.
